Change your habits – save energy
The old adage, ‘measure twice and cut once’ applies to woodwork but is also a perfect place to start if you want to reduce your energy bills. Once you know what you’re using, it’s easier to see where you can make savings.
Sign up for free training sessions on this page. We’ll show you how to measure your energy consumption and see where you can save money. Of course, if you prefer to do it on your own, then the tools and guidance are available online in our free to use My Electricity tool.
Some of the things that we cover are:
- How electricity is measured and priced.
- Understanding a smart meter.
- What is the baseload?
- How to use a smart plug to measure individual item’s energy consumption.
- Which items are likely to continuously draw power.
- What you can do to bring down your electricity consumption, and bills.
