ACT’s activities

We promote information and initiatives that are evidence-based as well as socially and financially sustainable.

We do this through our working groups, whose activities are coordinated by our Steering Group.

The working groups run a variety of projects that help Teignbridge residents understand why we all need to reduce our carbon and ecological footprints, and how we can do it.

Our current working groups are listed below:

How we work

ACT is set up as a community interest company CIC), reflecting its social purpose. It is owned by its statutory members, who are appointed and removed by ACT’s directors.

ACT’s directors are appointed and removed in accordance with the company’s Articles of Association.

Directors are solely responsible for:

  • The appointment and removal of directors and statutory members;
  • Approving legal agreements and contracts;
  • Approving annual accounts and other submissions to the authorities.
  • Authorising bank payments (two directors).

The directors delegate all other company administration and operational activities to the Steering Group.
